Ethiopia will be hosting World Economic Forum in 2020. If it happens, this will be the second World economic forum event to be hosted in Ethiopia.
In 2012, Ethiopia, under the late prime minister Meles Zenawi,hosted World Economic Forum on Africa.
The decision came after the Chairman of the Forum, Professor Klaus Schwab, had discussion with Abiy Ahmed who was in Davos, Switzerland, for WEF2019, according to a report by state media, Ethiopian News Agency (ENA)
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has also addressed World Economic Forum 2019 and has highlighted the convenient business and investment friendly environment in a way encouraging investors to come and invest in his country.
He also met with business people like Bill Gates and Alibaba owner Mr. Jack Ma
