Toronto – The sixth congress of Tigray regional state removed seven judges for what is described as “ethical issues”, according to Fana Broadcasting report.
The report did not,however, have details as to what the ethical issues are.
One the other hand, the congress approved the appointment of a judge.
The regional state also approved reviewed draft law relating to mass media and science and technology, according to Fana report.
Administrative structure in Ethiopia is decentralized,essentially theoretically, on the basis of ethnicity. Tigray region is political base to TPLF – a dominant power in the ruling coalition, EPRDF, although it represents only about six percent of the total population of Ethiopia.
