Ethiopian Grain Trade Enterprise reportedly won tribunal case against a Swiss supplier, Agricom International SA.
Ethiopian Reporter,Addis Ababa based news provider with alleged close links to the group in government power in Ethiopia, cited what it called “credible source” to report that Ethiopian Grain Trade Enterprise is to get $14 million (US) from the Swiss supplier.
From the report, it seems that the case was filed after Agricom International SA breached contract signed with Grain Trade Enterprise sometime in 2011 to supply 500,000 tons of milling wheat.
The three-member tribunal passed the verdict in London,according to The Ethiopian Reporter. Agricom International SA has filed application for review of the decision.
Ethiopian Grain Trade Enterprise was represented by Addis Law Group ,LLP (ALG), added the report.
