Princess Sara Gizaw, Duchess of Harrar, is laid to rest at Kidist Selassie Menbere Tsebaot (Holly Trinity Cathedral) church in the capital Addis Ababa today.
Patriarch of Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahdo Church, Abune Mathias I, presided over the funeral ritual in the tradition of the Ethiopian Church.
Coffin was lowered to Imperial crypt at Selassie, next to her late husband Prince Makonnen Duke of Harrar, according to social media sources with apparent links to the Crown Council of the Ethiopian Monarchy.
Government officials, members of the Royal families of the late Emperor Hailselassie, notable musicians like Teddy Afro and other dignitaries have attended the funeral ceremony.
She passed away on Sunday February 17, 2019 at the age of 90.
