Ethiopian Airlines offers free city tour to major tourist attractions in the capital Addis Ababa to its passengers transiting through Bole International Airport which means that now passengers do not have to spend the transit hours in the Airport.

Ethiopian Airlines offers a free Addis Ababa tourist attraction site visits for Ethiopian Airlines passengers transiting through Bole International Airport. And the service is starting tomorrow.
According to FBC report today, about 70 percent of the Ethiopian Airlines Passengers transiting through will make use of the transit hours at Bole International Airport to visit popular tourist attraction sites in the capital Addis Ababa and it is the Airlines that pays for it.
The report added that the Airlines has finalized preparation to for passenger to use the service without any security concerns.
Founded in 1886, Addis Ababa has numerous cultural and historical tourist attractions sites. Ethnological Museum in the former emperor Haileselassie’s palace (Genete Leul) which is in the main campus of Addis Ababa University, The Holy Trinity Church where emperor Haileselassie is laid to rest, railway museum, natural history museum and Addis Ababa Museum are some of the attractions. The oldest human skeleton, Lucy (Dinknesh) is at the Ethiopian National Museum. Addis Ababa has is also a seat of the African Union and United Nation’s Economic Commission For Africa.
Last year, the airlines provided service to 11 million international and domestic passengers.
With the expanded airport terminal inaugurated last week, the airlines has now a capacity to sever up to 22 million people per year.
