Federal police reportedly entered Gonder University and attacked students for resisting to sit for exams. At least three students are said to be in Gonder hospital and their condition is said to be life-threatening, according to activists’ report with a connection in the region.
At this writing, the news is not reported by the regional Amhara Mass Media Agency or Federal government media outlets.
More update will be published regarding the development in Gonder University as it becomes available.
In another development, six residents of Gonder are killed yesterday due to electric shock accidents during a religious ceremony. Critics have blamed the city administration as they think that the lives of the victims could have been saved had the city administration acted in a timely manner with a sense of responsibility.
