Melaku Bireda is a popular guraghigna singer. He is known for his anti-oppression stand and opposed the ruling party in power – the very reason that he had to leave his country Ethiopia.
Unfortunatly, all did not go well for him. Based on information from friends who are close to him, he is in hospital and needs the support of Ethiopians. His location is not disclosed -apparently for his safety.
Mesay Mekonned is a journalist who works for Ethiopian Satellite Television, US based Ethiopian community broadcaster. In an update, he said Melaku is not in good shape in hospital and needs the support of Ethiopians.
