In an earlier borkena report, it was indicated that the violence in Dega and Chora districts of Buno Bedele zone in Illubabor started as anti-government protest to oppose those displaced from Somali region of Ethiopia and later turned into violence of ethnic nature.
Emerging reports seem to suggest,not conclusively confirmed yet, that the violence was rather instigated by TPLF agents and was deliberately made to appear ethnic conflict between Oromo and Amara.
The number of deaths from the violence is now 12 and 14 other wounded people are in hospital. About fifty-two houses are burned down but residents in the conflict district are reportedly providing support to attacked and displaced from the conflict.
