Heads of states of African countries started arriving in Addis Ababa to attend the 28th ordinary session of the assembly of the African Union.
Ethiopian state media,EBC, reported today that presidents of Zambia,Djibouti,Equatorial Guinea, Namibia and Mali have arrived in Addis Ababa. As well, vice president of Cote d’Ivoire and prime minister of Swaziland have arrived.
The meeting is due to take place on January 30 and January 31 at the African Union Headquarters, Nelson Mandela Plenary Conference Hall, according to news update from African Union (AU).
AU’s chair person,Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, term in office is coming to an end in July of this year. Candidates from
Chad,Kenya, Botswana,Equatorial Guinea,and Senegal are vying to take over the chairmanship.
