Ethiopian Airlines is flying to 23 international destinations in countries that have either controlled the COVID 19 pandemic or less affected by it.
Last week, the Airline announced that it had suspended flights to over 80 international destinations profoundly affected by the pandemic. According to the airline Spain and Italy among the lists of countries to which Ethiopian Airlines is not flying.
Ethiopian said on Wednesday that wrong information is circulating on social media, which depicts that the airline is flying to the above mentioned highly COVID 19 affected countries.
However, the airline disclosed that it is flying its cargo fleets to deliver health care supplies to different destinations in Africa, Europe, and North America.
Furthermore, Ethiopian said that it is carrying passengers from Africa returning to their country – the USA and Canada. It has also brought many Ethiopians home from different parts of the world.
Next, the airline is flying to local destinations to deliver medical supplies to help prevent the pandemic.
Last week, Ethiopian airlines delivered to 51 African countries medical supplies donated by Chinese billionaire and founder of Alibaba.
