The former prime minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Tamrat Layne, had an interview with Simeneh Bayferes of Walta information center.
The Ethiopian constitution was one of the top issues that Simeneh Bayferies raised to Ato Tamrat. The latter admitted that he was not a member of the constitution drafting committee. However, he stated that he is familiar with the process and had discussions with some key figures who were a member of the commission. Looking back, he thinks that it is impossible to say that the way the constitution was drafted and approved was democratic at all.
